The everyday wear of the Samis in Northern Finland, Sweden and Norway is similar to other europeans, but often the classic style full dress is used: Here you can see a little girl with her grandfather outside the new church in Karasjok just after Easter
service.
Most of the more than hundred participants were using a similar dress. The Sami-dresses used in different parts of the Sami-country looks like these, but the use of the ribbons and head-wear might vary. In Karasjok you will find the Norse Sami-parliament. |
